Communication Hub

Officially opened by the Irish Prime Minister, Brian Cowen, in April 2010 the Netwatch Communication Hub is a custom built, state-of-the-art facility designed and operated to the highest International Standards.

The Communication Hub is the result of a $6.5 million investment by Netwatch. This investment includes the establishment of a dedicated Research and Development centre. Eight employees in this centre now focus on the development of new software applications, more intelligent transmission equipment and site hardware to ensure Netwatch remains a technological leader in protection and alarm monitoring systems.

At present, the Netwatch Communication Hub houses the world’s most technologically advanced IT infrastructure for remote CCTV visual security. “The new R&D centre will allow us to continue to innovate with new applications and new technologies which will better protect our customers and their properties. This investment will position us for future growth not only in the US but in overseas markets and will afford us the opportunity to pursue larger and more complex contracts” said David Walsh, Netwatch Group CEO.

The Communication Hub is physically constructed to the requirements of IS228, Standard for the construction and operation of a Monitoring Centre. The Centre features an Airlock double door system and is resistant to gross attack through the construction of a mass concrete shell exterior without normal window and door openings. All communication paths are duplicated; our disaster recovery plan includes a partnership agreement with two additonal monitoring station facilities which can take over our monitoring duties within minutes should the need arise.
